Feathers on just one wing
Feathers on Just one Wing
Let’s stop pretending we don’t know how this works. Bullies need each other like addicts need a fix. They feed off each other’s validation, patting each other on the back as if they’ve just accomplished something heroic—when in reality, all they’ve done is prove they can’t function without a pack to hide in.
Most of these so-called “tough guys” (and yeah, it’s mostly men) wouldn’t last two seconds standing on their own. They bark loud online, they puff up in public, but when it comes down to it. They need their little flock. And for some reason, a disturbing number of them have no problem putting their hands on women, kids, hell—sometimes even their own family members. Mom, dad, sister, brother—doesn’t matter. Violence is their comfort zone.
Now, you know what’s funny? You find out a bully has been charged with violence—maybe three times. One of them is Domestic Violence Battery. But hey, let’s be “fair,” right? We don’t know the situation. Maybe it was an accident. Maybe she “made him” do it. Maybe the dog was barking too loud, and he just “snapped.” Let’s give him grace… right?
And then this same violent genius skips the whole trial and conviction, goes for “supervised rehabilitation” so he can get his record wiped clean. Oh, redemption! What a hero! Except… fast-forward a year or so and, surprise, same damn charge. You’d think someone would have learned their lesson, but nope. And that’s not even counting the other charges they managed to have neatly tucked away under the legal rug. But sure, let’s hold them in high esteem because we “weren’t there” and “don’t know what happened.”
And birds of a feather, right? Let’s take a look at the company they keep. One buddy with two counts of reckless driving—because who knows, maybe it’s alcohol, maybe it’s drugs (pure speculation at this point, of course)—and wouldn’t you know it, he’s also got a DV under his belt. And they live in the same state, not too far apart. Imagine that coincidence!
Then there’s the newest addition to their flock—a guy with a lead foot so heavy it could be classified as a weapon. I mean, slow down, killer. Eyes on the road. But yeah, this is the guy we should all listen to, right?
The truth is, most bullies and trolls have trash backgrounds. And there is nothing lower than someone who abuses women or children. Nothing. But here’s the kicker—when you don’t know all the facts, people get hurt. And for every action, there’s a reaction. The dirty secret is that most bullies can’t handle that reaction. They run. They cry. They scream “victim” at the top of their lungs, hoping someone will hear their fake cries of “fire.” And most of the time, it falls on deaf ears.
Every true victim deserves a voice. And if they’re too scared to speak, then I’ll speak for them. No one gets to attack another human being without answering for it—without paying the price for their trash behavior. One day, these people are going to cross the wrong person. And when that happens, they better be ready for what’s coming.
Deuteronomy 32:35 says: "Vengeance is mine, and recompense, for the time when their foot shall slip; for the day of their calamity is at hand, and the things that shall come upon them make haste." God will handle it. But sometimes—just sometimes—God lets the trash pile up until it’s spilling into the street. And when it gets that bad, someone might just take it upon themselves to take the trash out. And when they do, they’ll deal with God about it later.
Birds of a feather, indeed. Watch them flock. Watch them squawk. Watch them scatter when the storm finally hits.
